We were appointed by DGP in 2016 when the original ‘Douglas Gillespie Plant’ was acquired by CorpAcq and aimed to change the brand from ‘Douglas Gillespie Plant’ to ‘DGP Materials Handling’.
With this new brand change, the client wanted a new logo to correspond to the new brand change. They also wanted a new website that would highlight their new brand, clearly identify their product and services and allow an easy platform for their customers to navigate and inquire about a sale or hire.
Their main aim for the future was to keep a steady, growing stream of traffic through their website and to increase the number of enquiries that come through the website. They also wanted a website that could be regularly updated and maintained as their previous site was confusing to make changes to. A secondary aim was that they wanted to improve their rankings organically on google to get themselves in front of more potential customers online.
We started by developing the DGP Brand logo with the new abbreviated name. From this, we then developed the new website for DGP ensuring that it was simple, yet eye-catching and that the user journey on the site was seamless. We created graphics for the website to best demonstrate the products that DGP has to offer and to engage with future customers.
In order to improve DGP’s organic rankings on search engines especially with the brand name change, we did an intensive keyword research and competitor analysis on the industry they are opening in and ensured that we developed an SEO strategy that would help boost the website for the desired keywords that are related to the product and services that they had to offer. We also created their Facebook and Linkedin pages in order to boost further content. From this, we developed and continue to develop content strategies for these platforms in order to promote the DGP brand across social media.
We have been working with DGP for about two years and with only focusing on organic methods of marketing due to budget restraints we have generated over 35,000 users and a substantial improvement to their Google search rankings with 75% of their focus keywords being present on page 1 of Google.
