With a website that was now outdated and confusing to their users Kelburn wanted a fresh and updated website that aided the user to buy online tickets for their events. Kelburn really wanted to push their online events as well as making their new website very clear to all the different things they do. They also wanted to start to put a bigger focus on their wedding venues & packages that they can do at Kelburn and therefore wanted parts of the website clearly highlight these aspects.
Kelburn are very active on social media and have a good following however they also required help in the setup and monitoring of Facebook paid advertising to reach new customers to attend their seasonal events.
We set up a whole new WordPress site for Kelburn Castle & Estate. We focused on keeping the user journey as simple as possible for people to navigate around. We used bold Icons on the home page to fully highlight all the different aspects of Kelburn and ensured that the entire website was full of videography and high-quality imagery to really get across the magic that is Kelburn. We ensured that every page had clear call to actions focusing around the events calendar and buying tickets.
To put more focus on weddings at Kelburn a banner was made for the home page which is bold and inviting for anyone landing on the page for wedding information. There is also a full weddings section on the website with wedding videography and all the information that could be needed at first glance.
We ensured that the website was designed mobile first as a lot of the users on the site come through social media and therefore view mobile over a desktop, therefore we ensured all designs would work over all devices.
In aiding Kelburn with the Facebook advertising we work with Kelburn as their out of house marketing department, we set up and monitor their Facebook adverts that are required for each event, making changes in regards to performance and audiences.
With the new website launch coinciding with the commencement of the paid Facebook advertising there has been a significant increase in the number of users that are landing on the site, with a positive indication of more users being on the ticket purchasing page and the bounce rate on the website decreased compared to the previous period. The results for 1 month of a live website & campaign are (compared to the previous period):
